Cecilia Mignon is an artist based in sunny Oakland, California.

Originally from Portland, Oregon, her artistic tenderness was first expressed with a Polaroid camera and a fascination with handmade zines from the poetry aisle of Powell's. Her eventual emergence from beautiful overcast Oregon came after receiving a BFA in Printmaking from Pacific Northwest College of Art in 2014.

Her continued curiosity with soft instant photography and poetic narrative has led to a print-based practice that includes techniques of transfer, lithography, and monotype.

Cecilia Mignon's photo-based work poses questions about linear time and collapsed memory. It resurrects images to build thresholds into dreamlike space.
